I’m going to get stuck in to the good bit with this post (the ‘for you’ box). If you want the full shabang on this monthly subscription, take a look at my first box here.
What did I get this month?
Cuppanut, Coconut & Cranberry 1 bag (£4.50 for 15 bags)
This might look like a tea bag, but there are NO tea leaves involved whatsoever! Cuppanut is made from all natural ingredients such as coconuts and fruits meaning there’s no caffeine and other nasties lurking in there. As I read my pink parcel booklet, I made a miraculous discovery as to who the founder of these healthy, raw and pure warm drinks were. Is it Gilian Mckeith? No. Is it even a woman? No it’s not. Who is it?……. The one and only… GARETH GATES! Have fun googling that.
Ombar Centres, Coconut & Vanilla 35g (£1.99)
WOW! I don’t like dark chocolate and I wasn’t sure about the coconut flavour but this chocolate bar proved me wrong. It’s the smoothest and softest chocolate I’ve ever eaten and the coconut and vanilla is so subtle but at the same time, cancels out the harshness and bitterness of the dark chocolate. Ombar got this chocolate bar perfect. A very much needed sweet treat at that time of the month.
AA Skincare Seaweed & Aloe Eye Gel 50ml (£6.99)
I’ve never used a gel on my face before. I felt a slight sting around my eyes as I usually do when I use makeup wipes or miscellar water but that might be because I got some in my eyes. Nevertheless, the gel was also cooling around my eyes. My face felt very refreshed when I used this.
Cotswold Lavender Slumber Spray (£7.25 for 100ml)
You spray this on your pillow and it’s suppose to help you sleep better. I used to have lavender scented pillows for this reason but the scent wore off after a while. This is a great way for me to top them up however I’d consider this, especially with its price, a luxury item so I’m pleased I’ve been given a little bit of luxury in my box.
New CID Cosmetics I-glow mini (£16.00)
I squealed when I saw pink parcel had delivered a new CID product to me, as I did when I saw the Cougar Liquid Lipstick in my August box,. Back in May, me and the mother had our hair and makeup done before a photo shoot. The artists used new CID cosmetics on my face and I absolutely loved it. This particular product is a great all round bronzer/highlighter. You can use this on your body also to add a little sparkle to your look.
Schwarzkopf Bonacure Colour-Freeze Shampoo 50ml (£12.20 for 250ml)
This is the one product that I wasn’t too fussed about and it’s definitely not something I’d want to spend £12.20 a bottle on! So, I suppose it’s a good thing that I get to test this out through Pink Parcel. It didn’t smell too nice in the bottle but it was okay on my hair. There’s only a wash or two uses in this bottle so I can’t be sure whether or not it did anything spectacular to my coloured hair.
Pink Parcel Relax Tea Light Set (£5.99)
For some reason, my pink parcel candle box says ‘set of 6’. WHERE’S MY OTHER 2?!?!? Also, I was slightly confused when I opened the box. Now I know that the point of the pink parcel’s theme is that it’s pink but these tea lights are Lavender scented and when I think Lavender I think purple.
Putting my nit picking aside, I asked for candles in my previous review… pink parcel delivered (literally) and I got my candles. I’m not the biggest fan of Lavender scents but nevertheless I was thrilled to receive them and in such a cute little box. Just like the Jealous Sweets, these tea lights are made specifically for the pink parcel and their customers. I feel special.
Nairn’s Oat Crackers 14.2g (£1.42 for 171g)
Nibbles! Who doesn’t love nibbles. I appreciated so much that Pink Parcel had given me CARBS this week! I had lots of sweet treats last month but I’m not about that sweet tooth lifestyle. When I’m on my period all I want is savoury, greasy, carby food. A little nibble on these curbs that lust at least a few hours.
This box was my second Pink Parcel and I’m happy to say that I’ve been really impressed with the content. Again, I added the prices up of all the contents, not including the tampons and pads and this parcels goodies are worth £34.53. So, I don’t feel as spoilt as I did last month but it’s another bargain that made me smile. Is it weird to say that I can’t wait for my next period so that I can see what’s inside my next box?
I hope you liked reading about these goodies as much as I’ve enjoyed using them!
